A former employee said this in a review: "If you're looking for a good company to go to Melitta. Management will consistently lie to you I was told in my interview process a normal work day was 8 to 9 hours your normal workday here is 14 to 17 hour and that's when you work 18 days straight".

Former Employee - Field Service Technician says

"Completely unprofessional and you never get to see your home."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Very flat organization, no room for advancement. management is a JOKE. Good ole boy . Manufacturing side not work well with admin side and vs versa. Manufacturing side harasses workers, especially so called floor supervisor. Safety issues, don't even think about working if you value your fingers. CEO get a brand new Mercedes each year and has not problem parking in the handicapped spot so he can get the best access. Had many issues with products that should have resulted in recalls, but management would not step up, but would cover up. Culture and values???? Non existent CEO is so arrogant, and egotistical as are other in chain of command"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"The controller's judgment could not be trusted. It was a hostile work environment."

Field Service Technician says

"The company has let many people go, either by firing or quitting, but they don't hire replacements. Some they have no plan to rehire, others it takes more than a year and a half to rehire. In the meantime the remaining employees have to pick up the the workload, and when it becomes too much, there is no support from management. The company has no defined leadership. Each department has it own goals and they do not cooperate with each other. We have been experiencing parts shortages for over 8 months, nobody knows why and nobody does anything about it. The technicians are the only producers of money for the company (there is no real sales force) yet are treated poorly. We are forced to work outrageous hours, until they can't take it anymore. Your home life will suffer greatly."

Field Service Technician says

"They use a dispatcher to dole out jobs. They have an expectation that you are available to work from 5 am to 11 pm and you are not supposed to question it. You will not know what you have scheduled for the next day until after 4:30 pm of day before. you will not be able to plan for any personal time more than 24 hours in advance unless you take vacation. We have nearly constant parts shortages. It is hard to do the work without the parts.... They vacillate between a mantra of "No Overtime!" to having you work 60+ hours a week to catch up for the fact that with no overtime you will fall behind. The number of machines each tech has assigned is too high. Without working overtime you will not be able to keep up. When a tech is fired, on vacation, sick, quits, or otherwise unable to perform their duties, you will be forced to drive long distances to cover for them. They fire a lot of people. I have never worked for a company that fires this many people. (i'd guess ten people in 3+ years) I will probably be fired for writing this. I would consider being fired a blessing. (I could finally find enough time to look for another job)"

Former Employee - Field Service Technician says

"There is too much stress at this job. They let people go without replacing the position and expecting everyone else to pick up there work without compensation. They try to make you feel guilty for everything you do. Some coworkers are backstabbers. It's pretty much been the same throughout the years."

says

"Any day including Fridays you were made to feel guilty if you left on time. Horrible training and expectations. Very stressful environment."

says

"Bad management, politics, and stabbing co-workers in the back was a common thing at this place, and I could not take it anymore. Management needs to come out of their shell of comfort and reading e-mails and talk to people face to face. It has become a lost art today in the workplace."

Current Employee - IT Programmer says

"Bad Management (CFO and CEO are a joke) Backstabbing Not a friendly environment Give the guilt trip whenever you leave at the end of the day"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Join this company at your peril... underhanded.. backstabbing, topped off with unrealistic goals. Communication and organisation is none existent."

Field Service Technician III (Current Employee) says

"If you're looking for a good company to go to. DO NOT GO HERE. Management will consistently lie to you I was told in my interview process a normal work day was 8 to 9 hours your normal workday here is 14 to 17 hour and that's when you work 18 days straight!! The company consistently violates DOT regulations and other regulatory regulations In my opinion they need to be investigated14 to 17hr workdays"

Lead Field Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"Everyone that started with the company lost their jobs. they keep only a few people around . they expected to compete with starbucks in the coffee buisness but did not work well.they tried to be a cool company but did not work wellbig turn over, they started micromanaging, one mgr told me no the customer is not always right, someguy got fired during training because his input was not welcome"

Capsule Line Operator & Coffee Roaster Operator (Current Employee) says

"there is no point in my day that I enjoy other than when I can leave. I feel like the biases on top of the fact that my pay is terrible makes my overall working experience miserable from the time I walk in until the time I would leave"

Field Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"While this job provides low stress, the managment will not have you back if anything goes wrong.. They claim to Be on call everyother weekend. But that is a lie, you will work 12 days on and 2 days off.. even tho they will tell you nothing about it in advance and try to pass it off as if it is your problem that they made promises to companys they cannot keep.. The machines are not to complicated... but if yoy can expect to be an absolute road warrior. Sometimes driving upto 4 hours one way for a job. This company needs to step up the pay and value the people who do work for them.No direct supervisionEveything else"

Service Technician (Current Employee) says

"With high turnover rate, too few technicians covering large areas outside assigned territories. Dispatching technicians outside their areas creating extra travel time while pulling another tech to the vacated area."

Technical Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"I don't hate this job. it"s the people that was not right for the job. don't think they hired right and HR is completely useless. But if you need a job go for it. it won't kill you"

Ric says

"Really bad customer service after warranty is just over..."

Brian says

"Similar to others, machine now has a horrible leak from the non-removable side. It varies between dirty water (excess I assume) and what looks like pure espresso. So it can't be brewing properly anymore! Sent away to be repaired for something else, then it came back with this leak. Even the repair process was a disgrace, they tried to tell me the machine was out of warranty so the repair was a "goodwill gesture" - even though I reported it to them whilst still under warranty and it took THEM a long time to come back to arrange the repair finally. The original emails were all on their system, so I had proof of this. So straight from the start they were telling lies, I should have known what to expect in the future.. So I sent the machine away finally. It was "repaired" they told me, and fully cleaned and serviced. The machine came back very dirty, so some internal investigation took place, it was found something was missed (you don't say!) so they collected and took away again. The second time it came back much cleaner BUT...there was now a different fault, it was leaking constantly from the non-removable side! I got onto Melitta, but of course they were not interested. They gave me the cost for an OUT OF WARRANTY repair! Amazing! So they broke the machine either during transit, or when doing the other repair. Yet they want to charge ME for fixing it as it is now out of warranty. They were kind enough to loan me another machine during the process, then they also had the absolute cheek to say that I had broken this machine, they received it back and it had various things broken, so they had to write it off! I could not believe what I was hearing! It has obviously broken somewhere in transit I assume, so down to courier company (Or Melitta for not sending correct packaging??) Absolutely disgusting company to deal with. The "Customer Relations Manager" was actually by far the worst to deal with. This speaks volumes of the company I assume, as if the person managing customer relations acts as they do...we, as a customer, have no chance! Brilliant machine at the start, useless now. Complete waste of money in the end and would never use this company again."

Vadim says

"Firstly, machine is very poor quality, it's developed a leak after couple of months.I have to send it to their repair company ,where it's was damaged. Melitta is promised me to resolve situation , by sending new parts-that's what they are told me in e-mail, but this is never happened , two may e-mails was ignored. Few months on and I'm still waiting. Obviously, this is my first and last purchase of Melitta brand."

JD says

"One month after ordering products from Melitta webshop, the products were not delivered. No information concerning back orders and no answer after 3 e-mail contact, hopefully they will return my payment. No reliable service and webshop"
